When to book

I recommend booking your portrait session at least 4–6 weeks in advance so we can intentionally plan a session that truly reflects this season of your life.

Before Your Session

• Choose Something That Feels Like You: Whether you’re celebrating a birthday, updating your photos, or needing fresh headshots, wear something that makes you feel confident and comfortable. When you feel good, it shows.

• Keep It Thoughtful: Soft tones, well-fitted pieces, and simple textures photograph beautifully and timelessly. If you’re celebrating something special, we can always incorporate a meaningful detail.

• Hair & Makeup: Hair and makeup is recommended but not required. The most important thing is that you feel like the best version of yourself.

During Your Session

Our portrait sessions are relaxed and guided.

You don’t need to know how to pose, that’s what we’re here for. We’ll guide you through natural movement and subtle direction so nothing feels stiff or forced. The goal is to create images that feel effortless, genuine, and true to you.

We allow space for you to settle in, breathe, and feel comfortable in front of the camera. The best images happen when you’re simply being yourself.

Planning Your Session

Every session is planned with care. If you’d like to incorporate something meaningful, such as balloons, a small cake, florals, champagne, or personal props, you are more than welcome to bring them. These details can beautifully enhance your images and make the session feel even more personal.

Please note that while we’re happy to incorporate what you bring, these items are not provided by the studio.

After Your Session

Once your session is complete, the experience continues.

At R&A Photography, these are your memories. You’ll receive a proofing gallery where you can choose the images that truly speak to you.

After you’ve made your selections, we carefully hand-edit each chosen portrait, refining tones, enhancing light, and preserving natural beauty so your final images feel polished, yet authentic.
